出生於台北,7歲習琴,啟蒙於紀慧芳老師。8歲代表亞洲參加義大利第45屆金幣兒歌賽Zecchino d’Oro ,藉電視轉播與專輯發行,將臺灣兒歌傳至世界,獲外交部特殊成就獎。

現任國立中山大學音樂學系助理教授,為首位獲英國倫敦大學皇家音樂學院(Royal Academy of Music)專研鋼琴演出實踐之哲學博士(PhD)學位的臺灣學者。同時具備倫敦大學教育研究院(Univeristy College London)跨領域資歷與英國合格教師資格(QTS)。自十四歲考取英國耶胡迪·曼紐因學校(Yehudi Menuhin School)赴英深造,後進入皇家音樂學院師事 Christopher Elton 教授。在校期間除獲頒四年全額獎學金及教育部留學獎學金外,以最高榮譽完成學士與碩士學位,並獲畢業音樂會最高演奏獎之殊榮。其演奏足跡遍及倫敦 Wigmore Hall、Steinway Hall、荷蘭哈勒姆市立音樂廳、BBC 廣播電視及臺北國家音樂廳;曾獲英國 Ealing 協奏曲大賽總冠軍、義大利 Marco Fortini 國際鋼琴大賽首獎,並受邀擔任利茲國際鋼琴比賽(Leeds International Piano Competition)特邀藝術家。在學術領域,其博士論文於 AEC 歐洲音樂藝術研究會議獲最高評分肯定,亦曾於芬蘭西貝流士音樂學院及愛爾蘭都柏林國家音樂廳發表研究成果。

Bella Tang has performed as a recitalist and chamber music partner in the UK and around the world, including the Wigmore Hall, the Steinway Hall in London, the Duke's Hall, BBC TV, BBC Radio 3, Cambridge University and China's Bejing Forbidden City Hall, Japan's Hamamatsu Acts City Concert Hall, the Netherlands's Haarlem Concertgebouw and Taipei National Concert Hall. She has been invited as the guest artist at the University of Leeds held in association with the Leeds International Piano Competition, the NTUE International Piano Festival in Taiwan and the Kawai's 50th Anniversary Festival.

Bella was born in Taiwan, and went on to win competitions in her native Taiwan, Italy and the UK. She went to the Yehudi Menuhin School in the UK to study with Marcel Baudet at the age of fourteen, and was awarded a four-year Full Scholarship Award at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Bella completed her Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours, LRAM, and Master of Music with Distinction as a student of Christopher Elton, achieving DipRAM for outstanding final recital and the Lloyd Hartley Prize for achievement. In addition, Bella won the Ealing Concerto Award in London. Her studies were generously supported by the UK Government (MDS), the Craxton Memorial Trust and the Help Musicians UK Ian Fleming Award.

Bella is currently undertaking her PhD degree at the Royal Academy of Music, and won a scholarship award from the Taiwan Government Ministry of Education towards her PhD studies. She recently presented at the Sibelius Academy Symposium and seminars at the Academy. Future engagements include presenting her research at the conference at National Concert Hall in Dublin and the 2022 EPARM conference at the Royal Academy of Music.
